General Engineer

This position is located in the Engineering Service of the West Texas VA Healthcare System in Big Spring, TX.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Evaluating design and construction program activities involving construction, extension, alteration, and maintenance and repair projects;Advising and reporting on theoretical and factual data, conditions, and problems requiring an application of engineering theories and concepts to resolve problems;Coordinating, distributing, and monitoring projects to improve the efficiency and quality of work;Ensuring facility conditions are correlated with current requirements and identifying deficiencies and areas for improvement;Developing proposals for potential construction work;Resolving issues pertaining to design and construction processes;Determining project feasibility and scopes of work;Providing guidance to engineering technicians on reading, interpreting, modifying, and developing construction plans and as-built drawings;Preparing construction project specifications and work statements;Working with contracted design firms to ensure designs sufficiently meet the needs of the medical facility;Acting as a member of the architectural review board for projects, making recommendations for the selection of architectural firms, developing scopes of work for contracts, etc.
;Preparing correspondence, reports, estimates, fact sheets, status reports, and schedules as required to complete project assignments;Ensuring that construction plans and activities are compliant with regulatory requirements;Performing related duties as required.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:
00am - 4:
30pm.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
